Ken Purcell

Ken Purcell is a former football coach of several high school teams. He achieved high results with his charges and many personal awards. The man also excelled as a sports presenter. Coaching legend Ken Purcell, who has led 12 state championships, is set to give an insight of all-things athletics and coaching to Lamar County student-athletes and coaches, which stems from when he was first involved in Texas high school football in 1962 – almost 60 years of football knowledge. Ken Purcell, the former football coach, is in his early seventies. Purcell has always been interested in sports, whether it is football or running tracks. Purcell started his career at Vega High School in Texas. Coach Purcell was a Vega High School basketball and track athlete.
